Reality vs. Fiction
What is Real? What is Fiction?
This is a question I've asked myself for years on end and still can not find an answer. I've come to the conclusion that real is no more than what stimulates neurons that relay messages to the brain. Virtual reality does this type of thing as well and it not "real." So I've come to the conclusion that real does not exist. There is only what is tangible and what is not. For all we know we could all be interacting in some dream world, while our bodies sleep in containment chambers, and with the rise of computers as a necessity in the modern world it is not at all impossible.
Fiction is the opposite of real, and being that real does not exist neither does fiction? Fiction is merely something we were told as young children to insure that we slept easily at night, without fear of monsters, ghosts, goblins, etc. Fiction is a section in a library, and nothing more.
The 411
In today's society of machines, robots, and computers, the lines between what is "real" aand what is "fiction" have been blurred into a gray matter that is hardly recognizable to the human race anymore. With new innovations such as virtual reality and video games "real" and "fiction" have become two obselete words in the english language. I believe that sometime in the near future these two words will probably become replaced by others that are more suitable for the modern rapidly growing computer-run world.
